As much as I love trees I have to say I love ocean views more! This hike I did last summer with some of my friend off the coast NS was more stairs than hike (253 steps to be exact) but the view was spectacular. This was the balancing rock trail as you can see in the later pictures where a basalt rock is balancing over the ocean below. It is one of the most photographed geological anomalies in Nova Scotia! It’s makes you wonder how much longer it will be there with sea level rise and and wave action most likely taking its toll on the rocks foundation.
I would look at this rock and think once again “where not to live!”
